Why do they hate Narendra Modi

Hate is a much stronger emotion than dislike. When you dislike someone you don’t wish him any good. When you hate someone you wish him bad, always.

Media consists of individuals and they are prone to their own likes/dislikes even though it is not the best professional conduct. However, it is unethical and immoral of the media to hate someone and put all its energy to destroy the person.

Indian media dislikes BJP , where as it hates Modi.I have provided few reasons below explaining the hate-Modi campaign:

Hate needs a Hate-figure :

Hatred is more convenient to express if it has a person to connect to. Within BJP there is no big leader except Modi who feeds media’s hate-appetite (Barring Varun Gandhi who is a small fish). LK Advani is disliked but is not hated.  This  may be due to the curbs he removed from media after  emergency / the absence of the current 24*7 media during Babri-masjid episode /  he being at the end of his political career simply not worth the attack.

 Narendra Modi is the best fit for media’s portrait of a hindutva demon. In spite of his all-inclusive development politics and in spite of no evidence against him by the SIT or the Congress-controlled CBI , media is stubborn and inflexible in its opinion towards Modi. Hehas been declared guilty , called Hitler a mass murderer  and there is no looking back now.

 Modi’s win is media’s defeat :

During last Gujarat election media puts all its energy to see Modi defeated.It unleashed a sinister campaign on Modi with the help of so-called civil society and the Gandhians. Sonia and rahul baba were projected as messiahs who will bring the wave of change and Modi was projected as a merchant-of-death.

 It was quite shameful in HT leadership summit when Rajdeep Sardesai  went all out in using the opportunity to embarrass Modi. Though a well-planned strategy by media to trap Modi , it misfired due to the clever way Modi handled the allegations he faced  in the discussion. In the same forum Modi openly challenged the media to come over to Gujarat election battlefield and fight the war with him.

The election result stunned and shocked the media. It is a loss of face for media especially for few prominent personalities in the media. The result was the Modi- hatred increased and so did the media’s  quest for revenge no matter how damaging  this behavior of media  to our democracy.

When asked to crawl he does not even bend :

L.K. Advani rightly commented about media during emergency : “When asked to bend they were willing to crawl”. With the advent of 24*7 media and the increasing number of TVs in households media has become very powerful in recent years. Cases like Jessica makes media feel that it is the lawyer, judge and the jury to punish anyone as per its will. However, this power of the media has been challenged in Modi’s case. When asked to crawl , he does not even bend. Instead standing tall he stares the media straight in the eyes. This hurts the ego of the media and they pursue Modi further with vengeance .Damn the ethics of journalism , media is out there in the open to get Modi with all the might it has.

The opening of the  Radia-Gate  :

Though the unholy nexus between politics and media was always under suspect, Radia tape exposed it all. It is also worth noting that the journalists who were acting as political brokers in Radia tape are the most vocal against Modi and have been bestowed  with national awards. Paid news is a reality and a sad affair in our democracy. I think the country will be scandalized to discover the amount of money that is involved in using the media as a political tool.

DNA of Indian media :

 Indian media , especially the Deli-centric English media , is left-leaning ,sycophant to the Gandhi family and assumes itself to be on higher-intellectual spectrum compared to general Indians . It conveniently absolves Rajiv Gandhi from the holocaust of Sikh killings , his open declaration of “when the tree falls, earth shakes a bit” notwithstanding. It proclaims Modi guilty without an iota of evidence .Media has self-assigned itself the role of enlightening the Indians of the virtue/ lack of virtue of people depending on its own bias. Anyone opposing this notion is a right-wing Hindu extremist and everyone subscribing to its opinion is secular and liberal.

Media in its current form has no hope of self-correction. The only solution is people through the power of democracy defeating the media in its attempt to hijack the democracy of this country.
